Funded Programmes
The Regional Union of Municipalities of the South Aegean supports its member municipalities in taking part in European and international initiatives that contribute to sustainable development, innovation, environmental protection, digital transformation and the strengthening of local government.
Making use of European funding instruments is an important means of building partnerships, exchanging know-how and implementing actions that meet the needs of the island areas of the South Aegean.
PED South Aegean has significant experience from its own participation, as well as know-how passed on from the former Local Unions of Municipalities and Communities of the Cyclades and the Dodecanese, which implemented European and co-funded projects in education, digital innovation, culture, the environment, tourism and local development.
The Union continues to monitor European funding opportunities and to promote initiatives that strengthen the cooperation, outward outlook and development prospects of the municipalities of the South Aegean.
